Tallest waterfalls that flow for 2 or more weeks after a significant rain:
- Castle Rock State Park, 120+ feet (much harder to reach than the well-known waterfall upstream)
- Castle Rock Falls, 88 feet (give or take 12 feet)
- Mountain View Falls, San Rafael, 70 to 110 feet
- Pacheco Valle Falls, 90 feet (give or take 12 feet) (it's hard to see more than half of it from one spot, so it doesn't look big)
- Upper Green Valley Falls, 72 feet
- Berry Creek Falls, Big Basin 70 feet
- Pacheco Falls, 65+ feet
- Silver Falls, Big Basin 60 feet
- waterfall downstream from Bass Lake, 60+ feet
- Arroyo de San Jose (Fourth Fall), Novato, 55 feet
Other tall waterfalls that dry up quickly:
In spite of reports that
Murietta Falls is 100 feet tall, I don't consider it tall enough to belong on these lists.

Note that waterfall height estimates are rather crude unless there's a reference to a page in
Waterfalls of California that has a good measurement, or unless I've added a "give or take" number after it (in which case I've made some sort of measurement with a laser range finder).
